One of the oldest houses in a quiet residential colony in the heart of the city, Kailrugji was built by Shrimati Kailash Kanwar at a time when
her husband was away fighting the 1965 Indo-Pak war.
While Kail was receiving kudos for the house she was building with her younger son Narendra, at that time 15 years old, to help: Brigadier
Raghubir Singh MVC or Rugji was involved in one of the fiercest fights of the war in a village called Asal Uttar in Punjab. Rugji was awarded
the very first Mahaveer Chakra of the Jaipur State and the title " Savior of Punjab" in his role in this battle.
Till Kail was alive, the house resounded with happy sounds of family get-togethers and children running around. The mouth watering smell of
her cooking used to float through the house bringing people to the kitchen.
